Being a Teacher

I have done two sessions of piano lesson for her: This week and last week. I used few CCM songs to teach her. I have taught her how to play basic chords for every single chord(C~B) and the transformation of those chords. It was lucky that she have learned basic elements of piano before. Jung Min understands the mechanism of chords very quickly and it amazed me. She absorbs the information like a sponge and use it as if it was her own. I can't wait until she learns every skills that I will be teaching.

Being a teacher was a very meaningful time. I realized that teaching is not a simple and easy task. Also, I felt very proud of my her, when she plays the things that I have taught her. Being a teacher taught me what would our teachers feel in the school. This was a good opportunity for me to respect our school teachers more.

I will be keep giving few songs for Jung Min to play until she could move around the chords without stopping. Then, when she is able to play chords smoothly, I will be teaching the practical techniques. It is very exciting to watch her improve throughout the lessons.
